What "The
Show Must Go On" meant, one of the biggest hits of the band QUEEN, becomes
really clear when you see the phantastic show "THE QUEEN SPECTACULAR". Despite
the fact that the 20th anniversary of the death of unforgotten lead singer
FREDDIE MERCURY will take
place in November 2011, it feels as if the last two decades never existed.
The British singer PATRICK
MYERS comes so close to the original, that the London newspaper "Daily Mail"
refers to him as an "uncanny recreation". The fantastic cover band KILLERQUEEN, acting behind him,
was honoured as the "Best Tribute Band International" for their detailed copy
performance. Not only do the costumes, instruments
and haircuts reflect
the original, even the light show is wonderfully nostalgic, without modern
frills, but with the typical 70ies bombast. A consequently choreographed and
beautifully staged show, which not only virtuously presents all QUEEN hits like "Radio GaGa", "We Are The Champions", "Another One Bites The Dust", "Bohemian
Rhapsody" and the fantastic "We Will Rock You", but also fulfills any wishes in respect of show and
staging.
The show played at the Formular One at SILVERSTONE, the ROYAL ALBERT HALL, the EDINBURGH STADIUM, in MONTE CARLO and sold out the AHOY STADIUM two times in a row. The musicians scored a number one hit when they were asked to recreate QUEEN's harmonies for the hit single "The real life" with FATBOY SLIM in 2001. THE QUEEN SPECTACULAR has been selected to represent QUEEN in a restaged tribute LiveAid concert held by Sir Bob Geldorf and they performed with him at this unique arena concert.
Having seen a live show of THE QUEEN SPECTACULAR visited by 25.000 people, a journalist from the British magazine "The People" is sure, that this show is "as
near to the real thing as you're likely to get. Freddie lives!".
A thrilling Rock’n’Roll evening, not only for the real QUEEN fan!
Press reviews:
