SISTER ACT - The Songs from the Movie

Who doesn’t remember SISTER ACT, THE cinema blockbuster in the early Nineties? After the huge success in the London Westend the musical version of the movie celebrates it’s premiere at the Operettenhaus in Hamburg in 2010. A big marketing campaign will guarantee tht the wild nuns will be on everybody’s lips again. Now SISTER ACT – The Songs From The Movie is ready to satisfy the growing demand for the singing women in frocks.
 
In the movie, WHOOPI GOLDBERG is sentenced to teach the – quite bad – nun’s choir in a convent and she turns it into a hot gospel band in short notice, hot enough to convince the pope to come over and visit the nunnery. The soundtrack to both of the SISTER ACT movies became one of the best selling film scores ever – and they are also a "Best Of" in Soul music. While the musical doesn’t feature much of the great songs, SISTER ACT – The Songs From The Movie contains all of them. Unforgettable tracks such as "I Will Follow Him", "Ain’t No Mountain High Enough" and "Oh Happy Day" are only three of the fantastic compositions, which are now presented in a great stage show.
 
SISTER ACT – The Songs From The Movie is a saucy and really thrilling musical revue, which takes the crowd on a journey into the blossoming times of Black Music. The performing LONDON COMMUNITY GOSPEL CHOIR is one of the best known and most famous projects of its kind in Europe. The experienced artists have been singing for artists like MADONNA, DIANA ROSS and PAUL MCCARTNEY and they sung the in the choir for ELTON JOHN’s smash hit "Circle Of Life". SISTER ACT – The Songs From The Movie brings the world success live to the stage and is a beautiful music show for the entire family. The audience will cheer and sing and nobody will sit down when these nuns rock the place.
