THE SOPRANOS - London's Glorious Voices

A simple concept – a sensational result: Just take eight beautiful young ladies with gorgeous voices and a classical singing education, put them in great costumes and let them sing a mixture of the most well known "female hits" of the past decades. Romaita from New Zealand, her British colleagues Elisabeth, Helen, Kathryn, Rhiannyd and Lisa, Rebecca from the US and Katie from Scotland were chosen from more than 600 enrollees to became a very different, just fantastic "girl group".
 
Also the program is just great: Arias like "Nessun Dorma" from PUCCINI’S "Turandot" are mixed cleverly with movie tracks like SHIRLEY BASSEY’s "Diamonds Are Forever", with Classical themes like ALBINONI’s "Adagio in G-Minor", as well as with musical highlights like "America" from BERNSTEIN’s "West Side Story" or pop hymns like CÉLINE DION’s "My Heart Will Go On" to create a festive gala. The musical classics are completed by dynamic Latin music tracks and driving pop songs – even GLORIA GAYNOR’s "I Will Survive" is part of the program. From opera to Broadway and pop – the show is a tribute to the great divas of the musical world. Another highlight is the young and sassy string quartet behind the singers with a rocking accent.

Glamorous costume changes, a live orchestra and a beautiful light show accompany the acoustic experience. THE SOPRANOS are a diversified musical journey, made for ears and eyes, with a huge hanky potential and guaranteed standing ovations.
